A Tenant for 3 WTC?

We will never forget the devastating events of September 11, 2001 and why the World Trade Center is such an iconic piece of real estate for our country.  However, just last week, Silverstein Properties secured Conde Nast as One World Trade Center’s anchor tenant.  Is UBS AG considering the relocation of its Stamford, CT investment bank location to Three World Trade Center?  Seems so.  UBS is supposedly discussing plans to occupy 800,000 sq. ft. at Three World Trade by 2015.  The tower will be a whopping 71-stories with 2.1 million sq. ft. of office space and five trading floors.  A source claims that several equity and investment banking employees have already left the Stamford office for UBS’ current Manhattan locations on Avenue of the Americas and Park Avenue.  However, UBS spokeswoman Torie von Alt claims the potential move is “speculation,” and both her and Silverstein Properties’ spokesperson have declined to comment on any pending negotiations.  Hmm… Stay tuned.  Read more at GlobeSt.com
